We booked both Galicia gites for a family holiday including friends, grandparents and kids and had a wonderful time. Being so near by car to Duras and supermarkets makes it very convenient, as with a big group you are always shopping! The setting is so stunning with views across the vineyards and farmland, and a very warm welcome is given from owners Catherine and Laurent. We were so impressed with the gites; they are very spacious and clean and had everything you could possibly need. contd...

contd...The bathrooms are really modern, the beds are really comfortable and everything works really well. We managed to use the heated pool every day, as well as the boules court and games barn. The sun loungers and umbrellas are all very good quality. The men of our group used the private fishing lake daily and always caught fish. The owners, Catherine and Laurent, were on hand for advice and a friendly hello, but were never intrusive. We definitely hope to return one day. Clare S

Everything about Galicia was perfect; the two houses together suited all us perfectly for my 70th celebrations! Laurent and Catherine were charming and they did everything to make our visit a success. The houses were well equipped and tastefully finished - much of it Laurent's own work. The games room was an unexpected bonus. The pool with its shallow step was perfect for the grand children learning to swim - Laurent maintained and cleaned it regularly (contd)

(contd)The walk round the lake, the boulodrome and and the trampoline all had good use and the owners house was far enough away so that none of our activities seemed to disturb them. For those wanting an early morning walk or even a run the little roads around suited the energetic ones in our family. We made the most of the fête in Duras and Katherine was kind enough to advise us on suitable activities and outings for the grandchildren. We will be returning very soon. Simon B

Galicia was a little corner of paradise. The pictures do not do it justice. Catherine and Laurant were delightful and so very helpful. Gite is perfectly equipped and perfectly finished. Ideally located to explore the amazing countryside. Lots for families to see and explore. The pool is amazing and the barn is a great addition for keeping everyone entertained. We really enjoyed our stay. Adele T
