Les Rossignols is a characterful, centuries old converted colombage barn combining old stone and the charm of oak beams with the functionality of modern living. This superb gîte fits perfectly in the heart of the rolling sunflower-filled Lot-et-Garonne countryside close to the village of St Colomb de Lauzun. It's also a 25 minute walk (2km) on quiet roads to the charming medieval town of Lauzun with its bars, restaurants, excellent boulangerie and cafés.
There are 5 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 10 people, 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms on the first floor, a double, a twin and one that can be either a twin or a king size. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and WCs plus an extra WC and washbasin. The surrounding large garden is made up of sunny areas for sunbathing and shaded areas for a well deserved nap in one of the hammocks. The large private 10 x 5m swimming pool with roman steps has wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
Time to sip a glass or two of the fabulous local wine and immerse yourself in the beautiful birdsong of the nightingales, crickets and hoopoes; sheer bliss!
